MSMS and MUW Work Together to Improve the State's Mathematics Teachers
For the past 13 years, the Mississippi School for Mathematics and Science and the Mississippi University for Women have worked together to improve the skills of the state's mathematics teachers through CHAMPS (Problem Solving). The program, which is made possible through a grant from the United States Department of Education, brings teachers from all over Mississippi to the MSMS campus where they undergo several days of workshops taught by MUW and MSMS professionals. During the workshops, these teachers learn new and innovative skills designed to help improve their performance in the classroom. For more information about MSMS, please visit www.themsms.org.
