MSMS Takes Home 23 Writing Awards

Several MSMS students have won several Scholastic Art and Writing awards for their literary achievements. The winners have been invited to the Regional Awards Ceremony on April 19th in Jackson, Mississippi. The event will take place at the Eudora Welty House and Gardens.

Conor Hultman, of Ecru, and Quinn Massengill of Potts Camp won Golden Key awards for their writing. Their submissions will move on to national competition. Should their work be selected, they will be invited to attend a writing event at Carnegie Hall in New York City.

Combined, MSMS students took home 23 regional awards.

The Scholastic Art and Writing program is the oldest and most prestigious writing competition for high school students in the country. All winners are students of Mrs. Emma Richardson's Creative Writing classes.
