Mardi Gras treats from Dr. Odom

Mardi Gras is just around the corner, and to help get folks at MSMS in the spirit of the season, MSMS faculty member Bill Odom surprised everyone with king’s cakes today.

“We may be the only school in Mississippi north of Hattiesburg that celebrates Mardi Gras,” said Odom. “Many of our students come from the Mississippi Gulf coast where Mardi Gras season is a big deal. Doing things like this not only helps those kids feel less homesick, but introduces others to a culture they may not have had any awareness of before coming to school here.”

Mardi Gras season runs through February 17, 2015.
