Dr. McConnell has been deeply involved with teacher preparation since 2000. He prepared alternate route teachers through MTC as Program Coordinator and later as Co-director. Before coming to MSMS in July 2011, Dr. McConnell also had a role in administrator preparation through his role as Assistant Professor of Educational Leadership. His passion to improve the state of public education in Mississippi is now being realized through leading MSMS to fulfill its mission to "enhance the future of Mississippi."
