About Mrs. Richardson

Mrs. Richardson has taught at MSMS since its inaugural year, 1988.  A National Board Certified teacher, she has special interests in contemporary Scottish literature, Southern writing, and creative writing.  Her poems have appeared in literary journals, such as "Southern Humanities Review," and her creative non-fiction pieces have been published in "Our State: North Carolina" magazine.  She enjoys working with MSMS students with their writing, especially their college-application essays. Her two children are MSMS alumni; her daughter, Cameron, graduated in 1997, and her son, Thomas, in 2004.
