46 Clubs and Growing, MSMS Club Fair 2015

Currently, MSMS has nearly fifty different student run clubs and organizations. Wednesday afternoon the student body of MSMS spent a few hours shopping around to find the clubs they felt were right for them.

During the fair there were clubs on hand that covered practically every students' interests and personality. There are serious minded clubs like the PSAT, SAT Prep Club, faith based clubs like the Catholic Club, and pop-culture infused clubs like Animanga. There are clubs for musicians, clubs for athletes, clubs for service minded students, clubs for writers, and clubs for artists.

Some clubs, like the Physics Club have been around as nearly as long as MSMS.

"We have a physics movie night, we compete at a physics competition at the University of Alabama, and we participate in Ole Miss' trebuchet competition," said MSMS senior and Physics Club President Tyler Etheridge.

Other clubs are brand new, and still others haven't been seen at MSMS in years. Such is the case with the MSMS Cheerleading Team, which has been dormant for nearly a decade. Thanks to the efforts of the school's students, however, the organization is making a comeback.

"I know a lot of us missed [cheerleading] when we came here," said MSMS student and Cheerleading Team representative Arielle Hudson. "I know I really missed it, so we wanted to bring it back."
