The New Vision is Online

The latest edition of the MSMS student newspaper, the Vision is now online. This is the first edition of the paper under its current staff and new journalism advisor, Debbie Montgomery. This is also the first version of the Vision that was not helmed by legendary MSMS educator, Jack Carter.

The Vision was begun during the Mississippi School for Mathematics and Science second year of existence by an eager group of student reporters and retired MSMS instructor, Jack Carter. For the next (almost) 3 decades, The Vision has shifted between print and online publications and seen a colorful staff of countless high school journalists.
As a two-year high school, the halls of MSMS and the staff of The Vision sees students come in as “junies” and graduate as successful seniors rapidly. More information about the current staff can be found on the Staff page of The Vision.
Debbie Montgomery, a previous journalist and PR writer, is the current advisor of The Vision, working with willing students after school throughout the week to perfect and publish their works on a weekly basis.
