Attention students from the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Mr. Spike Harris, an Admissions Counselor from the Mississippi School for Mathematics and Science is getting ready to head to south Mississippi to meet with area students about one of the best high school opportunities in America.

“One of the great things about my job is that I get to meet all sorts of students from all over the state,” said Mr. Spike. “I get to talk to them about MSMS, and I get to put them on the path to doing truly remarkable things. I love my job.”

On Tuesday, Feb. 10 he will be at George County Middle School in Lucedale at 8:00 am until 2:00 pm and on Wednesday, Feb. 11 he will be at Bay Waveland Middle School at 9:00 am until 3:00 pm. On Thursday, Feb. 12, he will have an information kiosk set up at the Region I Science Fair at the University of Southern Mississippi. If you are a student or parent of one of the two schools he will be visiting, Mr. Spike will be available to answer any questions you might have about MSMS or the upcoming summer camps the school offers.

If you are participating in the Science Fair at USM, keep an eye out for him. He might have an MSMS t-shirt for you.
