Welcome to the Brainstorm Blog! The primary news source the Mississippi School for Mathematics and Science (MSMS), Mississippi's only public, residential high school dedicated to the development of the state's most academically gifted students.

Thanks to Our Delta Parents!

Tuesday night's Greenwood Super Night - the interest meeting we host for students and parents interested in MSMS - could not have gone better! Mr. Wade, who technically hosted the event, could not have been more pleased. A standing-room-only crowd of bright and beautiful minds took their first step into what very well may be a life filled with the kind of wonder and success that MSMS makes possible.

This outstanding reaction to our being in Greenwood would not have been possible without the help and support of our Delta friends and parents who not only showed up in support of the school but brought along with them an enormous spread of food and refreshments. There is nothing Mr. Wade likes more than a free meal.

We'd like to especially thank Mr. and Mrs. Sam and Emily O'Bryant. Although their son graduated from MSMS five years ago, they continue to be tireless supporters of the school. As Mr. Sam put it during the meeting last night, "Our son left the school in 2008, but we have never left the school." The O'Bryants should serve as inspiration to all those who love MSMS and want to see it thrive.
