Reunion events will culminate with a fantastic party to be held at the Rosenswig Arts Center in downtown Columbus. Music will be provided Dawn Barham. Libations will be provided by Lazy Magnolia of Kiln, Mississippi.
Wonder which of the four classes attending is the smartest? Wonder no more. Each class will select a member to compete in our first ever Alumni Trivia Face-Off. Inspired by game shows like Jeopardy!, the Alumni Trivia Face-Off will pit the classes of 1991, 1996, 2001, 2006, AND current MSMS students against one another.
Each class will choose one member to represent them during the competition. To the winner goes the bragging rights. The event will take place in Hooper Auditorium.
Reunion goers are invited to attend a special luncheon at Huck's Place in downtown Columbus for some authentic Mississippi fare.
We will be taking class pictures on the steps of Hooper Academic building beginning at 11:15 am.
Cindy Henderson, President of the MSMS Foundation, will hold a brief open meeting and update session regarding the MSMS Foundation. She'll discuss the Foundation's current and future projects and answer any questions. This meeting is open to everyone and will take place in Hogarth Auditorium.
All alumni are encouraged to attend a meeting with MSMS Executive Director, Dr. Germain McConnell. This meeting will be your chance to learn about the direction in which MSMS is going, and discover what you can do to ensure that MSMS continues its tradition of excellence for generations to come. You will also be able to voice your encouragement, concerns, and suggestions regarding MSMS.
Due to the ACT being administered in Hooper during the morning of April 9, the meeting has been moved to Hogarth Auditorium. Hogarth Auditorium is located in the upstairs portion of the Hogarth Student Center.
Campus tours will be available for reunion attendees on Saturday morning. Current MSMS emissaries will be stationed on the steps of Hooper Academic building for this purpose. If you would like to take a tour, simply show up to the steps of Hooper during this time. Tours last approximately 45 minutes.
All Alumni Weekend attendees to attend the 26th iteration of MSMS's famous Tales From The Crypt program. A bus, which will leave from Hooper, will be available for those who require transportation. You are free to use your personal vehicle, however.
Your reunion badge, which you can pick up during the Friday reception, will cover the cost of attending Tales, but you may make additional donations to the project if you wish. The cemetery tour will last approximately one hour.
A reception for all alumni will be held on the evening of Friday, April 8, 2016 in Hooper Academic Building. Alumni Weekend attendees will also be able to register for the reunion during this time. Those who have not purchased tickets for the weekend's events will be able to do so at this time.
At 6:30 pm a bus will be available for those who wish to attend the Tales From The Crypt performance at Friendship Cemetery.
Two inflatable bounce houses will be set up on the Dem Field lawn Saturday morning for the children of Reunion Weekend attendees.
Mrs. Dixie Butler, the wife of the late Carl Butler, has graciously invited reunion goers to tour her home - Temple Heights - on Saturday morning. MSMS student volunteers will conduct the tours and perform dressed in period costume. Directions to Temple Heights can be found below:

The Reunion Weekend will wrap up with a blow-out at Plymouth Bluff, featuring the New Age Gypsies (Dawn Barham's band). Food and adult beverages will be provided. Baby sitting services will be made available via St. Paul's Episcopal Day Care.
Current MSMS Emissaries will be offering tours of campus during this time. If you'd like to take a tour, they will be standing by on the steps of Hooper Academic Building.
The current student body at MSMS invites the alumni to challenge them in a head-to-head tournament of Mario Kart 8 and Super Smash Brothers Brawl. The tournament will be held in Hooper Auditorium from 1:00 to 4:00 pm. MK8 will be played between 1:15 and 2:30 and SSBB will be played from 2:45 to 4:00 pm. MSMS gear will be awarded to the winners.
MSMS students will take part in a field day featuring Jumpers inflatables and an Ultimate Frisbee tournament. Alumni are encouraged to participate.
Lunch will be served in the Pope Dining Hall in Hogarth Cafeteria.
There is nothing officially planned Friday evening after the reception, so we encourage you to spend some quality time with your classmates and friends.
As you arrive in Columbus on Friday afternoon, we will be hosting an informal reception in Hogarth Hall's "W" room, which is located directly across the street from Hooper. This will be your hub and allow you a convenient place to meet up with your classmates. We will be inviting MSMS faculty (including those faculty members who are no longer teaching at MSMS) to the reception.
