Move In Day

Juniors

•Juniors may begin moving into the residence halls at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, August 7, 2011 in accordance with the following schedule.
o 10:00 – 10:45 Students with rooms on the FIFTH floor will move in.
o 11:00 – 11:45 Students with rooms on the FOURTH floor will move in.
o 12:00 – 12:45 Students with rooms on the THIRD floor will move in.
o 1:00 -- 1:45 Students with rooms on the FIRST and SECOND floors will move in.
o 2:00 -- 2:45 Students unable to make their assigned time will move in.

• Students who are unable to move in during their assigned times will move in between 2:00 and 2:45. Other than that, students will not be moved in outside their assigned time slots.
• The residence halls will not open until 10:00 a.m. (no early arrivals please)
• When you arrive on campus, please park in the lot adjacent to Hogarth, and report to the "W Room" in Hogarth to complete your sign-in process, pay any remaining fees, and pick up your room keys. ONLY AFTER you have done that, should you report to your respective dorms. Boys will unload from the REAR of Frazier; Girls will unload from the FRONT of Goen.
• All Juniors should be completely moved in by 2:45, as orientation begins at 3:00. Parents should say their goodbyes prior to this time.
• Please make sure the Office of Student Affairs has received your TB test results prior to move-in (no student may move into the residence hall until the TB test results are on file in our office).
• Registration will be held on August 9, 2011. It is not necessary for parents to be present for registration. If activity fees were not paid prior to move-in, they will be paid at that time. We accept cash, money orders or checks. Please make checks or money orders payable to MSMS. (You may also mail fees prior to registration to the Student Affairs  Office). You may give the cash, check or money order for fee payment to your student.
• Room, roommate, and post office box assignments will be mailed in July.
• There will be no room or roommate changes until after the third week of the fall semester. Students will be provided with information regarding the date and instructions for room or roommate changes prior to the time to make the changes.
• Parents must have signed and returned the handbook agreement to the Office of Student Affairs. Students will receive their copy of the handbook upon arrival to the campus.
• Student schedules will be given to students during orientation. Instructions for schedule changes will be posted after registration.

Seniors

• Seniors may begin moving into the residence halls at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 10, 2011.
• The move-in period is from 8:30 a.m. until noon (all Seniors should have arrived by noon).
• The residence halls will not open for Seniors until 8:30 a.m. (no early arrivals please).
• Please report to your respective residence hall: Male students report to Frazer Hall and female students report to Goen Hall.
• We will begin Senior Registration at 1:00 p.m. Parents should say their goodbyes by this time.
• Please make sure the Office of Student Affairs has received your TB test results prior to move-in (no student may move into the residence hall until the TB test results are on file in our office).
