AP® Statistics Parts 1 and 2

Class Length: one semester per course

When is is offered?: AP® Statistics 1 is offered in the Fall and Spring semesters; AP® Statistics 2 is offered only in the Spring for students preparing for the AP® Statistics examination

Who can take it?: Students with credit for Algebra II who have not already passed the AP® Statistics exam.

Prerequisites: Algebra I, Geometry, and Algebra II

Why take this course?: One semester of statistics is a requirement for graduation because Statistics is the math common to so many real-world situations from games to politics and a useful tool for analyzing data in science classes.
